David was born August 15, 1956, the son of Albert “Ace” and Louise Boelkins. He married Shirley Carpenter on October 20, 1979, and together they enjoyed 38 years of marriage until her death in 2017. David worked as a patternmaker for most of his career. He enjoyed fishing, and all things sports. He went to Detroit Tigers games, Loved Michigan, and was a devoted Big Reds fan. His grandchildren though were what brought the most joy to him. He was a hard-working, loyal, genuine, gentle soul with a contagious smile that will be deeply missed.
David is survived by: his children, David (Sharon Jackson), Albert II (Kelli), and Robert (Silvia); grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Tiffany, Makayla, Siyenna, and Aubrey; great-granddaughter, Ava Jean; brother, Chuck (Yvonne); sisters, Sandy (Steve) Gogas, and Karen (Jeff) Thompson; sister-in-law, Cyndee; and close friends, Pat and Karen Hoolihan, and Leroy and Laura Whipple.
He was preceded in death by: his wife Shirley; parents; and brother, Ron.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and no public services will be held.
