Danny D. Chaney, Sr. age 66 passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 1, 2012. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Jean (Pike) Chaney. Danny is survived by his wife of 12 years, Betty Jean Chaney, two sons, Danny (Cindy) Chaney, Jr. and David (Nikki) Chaney; two stepsons, Brian (Eva) Brooks, Roger (Candi) Brooks; stepdaughter, Jennifer Brooks, all of Muskegon; twenty grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren on the way; his brother, David Chaney; special friends, Steve Aurich, Vergie Sibley, Eddy Cruz, and Ken Yack; the mothers of his children, Sue Chaney Oswald and Jacqueline Bayler. Danny was a member of the Fruitport Eagles, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, and in earlier years he was the Michigan State Champion of Billiards and he was retired from Herman Miller-IMT. Visitation will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Time of Prayer and Memory Sharing at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help with expenses.
