Daniel was born in Muskegon Michigan on November 27th 1957 to Daniel and Natalie (Hart) Smith. He received his education at Orchard View High School and played High School football. He graduated in 1976. Then he married his high school sweetheart Luisa Adame and had three children. He worked at a few different shops until he landed at Fun-N- Sun RV where he was a service technician for many years until his retirement in 2018.
Daniel was a gentle giant and kind to everyone. He was an amazing son, brother, father and friend. He loved camping, hunting and fishing and had an appreciation for all things in nature. He was also a very talented man. He could build the most beautiful things and was an excellent carpenter. You could fix almost anything. He loved music and playing his acoustic guitar and was an amazing singer. To add to his many talents, he also loved photography and was an excellent gardener. His warm smile, big heart and thoughtful ways will be permanently imprinted in the hearts of all his friends and loved ones.
Daniel is survived by his three children. Stephanie (Shaun) Crowley, Jessica (Denny) Smith, Daniel II(Jamie) Smith and his eight grandchildren, who called him "Big Grandpa". Daniel also had a hand in raising three stepchildren. Brian Bishop, Kevin Bishop and Aimee Vincent and two step-grandchildren.
Daniel's three sisters, Sandra McDonald, Janet (Ed) Felker, Vicky (Dale) Hilliard and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Earl Smith and Natalie (Hart) Smith.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Daniel Lee Smith at a later date to be announced.
