Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He was a simple, hardworking man. Chuck loved food. Connecting with friends and loved ones over a good lunch or dinner made for a perfect day. He loved to spend his free time puttering around outside doing “lawn care” and always meant to go fishing. He was a very friendly guy and could talk forever to anyone. He loved sharing his stories. Chuck was an avid reader and believed that books were meant to be shared. He was known for leaving his books behind at the VA, at the doctor’s office, at the dentist, and of course, with a friend or family member. Watching old western films often while reading at the same time was another way he loved to pass time. Chuck was also a very giving man with a big heart. He was always willing to help by going above and beyond for anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by all of his close friends and family.
