Catherine Elizabeth Hoogewind, 99, of Muskegon, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023.
Catherine was born March 22, 1924, the daughter of Peter and Dena Bultema. Catherine married Harvey Hoogewind on June 14, 1948. Harvey passed away in 1977 after 29 years of marriage. She worked in food service at Fruitport Schools retiring from there in 2001. She attended the former Olivet Reformed Church. Catherine enjoyed sports but the most important to her was always her family. She was an active loving, caring woman who will be deeply missed.
Catherine is survived by: her children, Gary (Lonna) Hoogewind, and Ron (Brenda) Hoogewind; grandchildren, Jonathan (Emily), Adam, Samantha (Mike Forest), Elizabeth (Drew), and Ronald (Ellie); and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, daughter, Barbara Hoogewind; brother, John; and sister, Ruth.
Cremation Will take place and no public services are being planned at this time.
