Carolyn was born October 22, 1947, the daughter of Everett and Faye Freeland. She married Richard Sokolowski on December 17, 1966. Together they were blessed with 56 years of marriage and two daughters. Carolyn enjoyed bowling, gardening, golfing, canning, camping, and most of all being with her family. She was a caring, kind, happy, social person who will be deeply missed.
4Carolyn is survived by: her husband Richard; daughter, Angela (Derek) Karten; grandchildren, Dana, Miranda (Codey), Rachael, Connor, and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Alayna, Alex, Aria, Matteo, and Brayden; brother, Brent (Jan) Freeland; sisters, Joyce (Ron) Wilburn, Roxanne (John) Postema, and Colleen (Rick) Sutton; and sister-in-law, Dee Piszczek.
She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Melissa Grabe; parents; sister, Brenda Wolfcale; and brother-in-law, Leo Sokolowski.
A visitation to celebrate the life she lived will be held from 2:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 17, 2023 at EverRest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon.
