Bonnie Louise Blais

She was born in 1936 in Traverse City to Rosabelle and Ivan Richie. Bonnie married Jerry Blais in 1959 and together they put Muskegon Garage Door company on the map.

Bonnie is fondly remembered as a loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother who immensely enjoyed her family and friends. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed the theater and the occasional round of golf with her best girlfriends.

Mom is preceded in death by: parents; Rosabelle and Ivan and husband Jerry.

She is survived by: sister; Marlene Kelly, daughters; Vickie (Joel) Coston and Julie (Robert) Mason, grandchildren; Katherine DeVoursney, Kelly (Brian) Smith and great-granddaughter; Eleanor, and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will be forever grateful for the care and loving attention she received from the caregivers and the incredible staff at Chestnut Fields and Gentiva Hospice who were instrumental in supporting mom and her family during this difficult time. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 11:00 am at Ever Rest Funeral Home at 1783 E. Keating Ave. in Muskegon. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity in Bonnie’s name.
