Arthur Edward Lamoreaux Jr.

He was born to Arthur Sr. and Mary Lamoreaux on April 6, 1947 in Muskegon. Arthur graduated from Catholic Central High School. He then joined the Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam, where his comrades referred to him as “Frenchy”. Arthur was a member of the Moose 491 and a life member of VFW Post 8846. He retired, after 30 years, from Consumers Power. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Pierre Lamoreaux.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Lamoreaux; his children, Rochelle (Curt) Curtis, Arthur “Bink” Lamoreaux III, and Michelle Poholski (Eek); his grandsons, Michael Maxey, Justin Lamoreaux, Saige Curtis, and Derek Eek; and all of his beloved pets.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Laketon Township Cemetery in Muskegon. Officiating will be family friend, “Tuck”. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the VFW Post 8846 to share memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Muskegon County Humane Society.
