Thomas Clark Monson passed away in the early morning on March 26, 2024, at Temecula Valley Hospital. He was 62 years old. He was born on June 12, 1961, in Logan, Utah, to Scott and June Monson. Tom was a graduate of Villa Park High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of La Verne. Tom is survived by his mother June Monson; two sons, Thomas (Lauren) Monson Jr. and Garrett (Emily) Monson, who were the light of his life; siblings, Scott (Sandy) Monson, Susan Monson, and Mary Bingham; grandchildren, Mylee and Hudson Monson; and many nieces and nephews.
In his younger years, Tom loved playing co-ed slow pitch softball. Tom was the Mr. Fix-it of the family; he would always be tinkering with something or trying to come up with ways to make something better. He loved playing golf and, according to him, beating his brother Scott. Tom was a devoted and lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. Tom was known for his quick wit and fun-loving sense of humor. He enjoyed being the 'fun uncle' to his nieces and nephews, and more recently with his great-nephews and -nieces, with his teasing and various antics. He loved family gatherings, and sharing his latest pictures of Mylee and Hudson, who were his pride and joy. In recent years, Tom had taken great pride in becoming the primary caretaker for his aging parents. As he had been all his life, he was a hard worker and went full-in with every task he undertook. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tom is preceded in death by his father Scott Monson, sister Karen Monson, and nephew Joey Garibaldi.
Services to celebrate Tom's life will be Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11am, at Miller Jones Mortuary, located at 26855 Jefferson Avenue Suite A, Murrieta, CA 92562
