Randall Craig Fox was born on November 23, 1947 to his parents Avrid Fox and Ruth Isaacson Fox in Auburn, Washington. A hard worker and a natural athlete, Randy began working at the local Tradewell Grocers at age 16 while enjoying many seasons of baseball before graduating from Auburn High School and joining the United States Navy in 1967. After serving his country faithfully, Randy came home and began a career in Grocery Management that would last three decades.
Randy grew into a quiet man, easy-going, reserved yet compassionate, ready to help others when they could not help themselves. And when not otherwise engaged in business, Randy could be found on the golf course which became as much a form of meditation as it was a sport in which he naturally excelled.
But more important to Randy was his family. His sister RaeAnn had been a constant source of great encouragement and strength throughout his life. His sons Chris and Corey were the centerpieces of his every thought and aspiration. And he made every attempt to visit his many cousins, nieces and nephews, and eventually his grandchildren in whom he delighted, whenever possible.
And most importantly, Randy was a man of deep faith. And while he came into it later in life, the impact was readily apparent. He enjoyed attending church services, learning about scripture and generally helping others whenever he could.
In 2021, Randy was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia which, over the next two years, would see his health rapidly decline. But nothing could extinguish his desire to press into his faith, as he would play his bible audiobooks on repeat when his vision finally left him. On Saturday July 8th, 2023 at 1:05 AM, Randy drew his final breath in the presence of the people he loved the most. He is now free of pain in the presence of Jesus Christ.
Randall Craig Fox is survived by, his wife Karla M. Fox, his sons Chris Fox (Nicole) and Corey Fox (Meghan), his stepchildren Anthony Morrow and Amanda Morrow, his sister RaeAnn Milliren (Bruce), a large extended family whom he loved deeply. Of the many fond memories his family have expressed, it is Randy’s gentle smile, kind eyes and his love of life they’ll remember always.
Please join the family in celebrating Randy’s life on August 5th, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Crossroads Church in Temecula, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
