Carol Ann (Rowley) Cox was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She left us on November 26th, 2022, at the age of 84. Carol was born to Ruth Caroline Lemkuhl and Jack Roland Rowley on June 2, 1938, in Los Angeles. Carol has three surviving children: Barbara Brashear-Weimar, John Brashear, and Kelly Jennings. Carol owned several businesses including retails stores, a plumbing business, a gift shop, and a popular tea house. Creative and passionate, Carol loved adventure. When she met James (Jim) Cox, the pair were inseparable. Carol was a devoted wife to Jim for more than 30-years until he passed away in June. Carol and Jim were a dynamic business duo as evidenced by their greatest passion project: a 1904 Victorian home in Orange, California which they lovingly restored and made into a tea house. Having visited many tea houses with her grandmother while she was young, Carol’s dream was to one day run her own. Carol and Jim were influential in the Orange, CA community and befriended many local business owners. At the age of 72, the pair retired and moved to Murrieta to be closer to their daughter.
Carol lived her life exactly how she wanted. She was smart, brave, creative, driven, and loved creating new memories with her husband. Carol has been a true inspiration to her family, friends and acquaintances, and she leaves behind a rich legacy.
Please join us for Carol’s memorial service on January 9th, 2022, at 10:15am at the Riverside National Cemetery. She will be laid to rest alongside her adoring husband.
