William Maxey “Bill” Fleming, Sr., age 70, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away the evening of Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. Bill was the son of Thomas Monroe and Grace Helen Hewitt Fleming. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Virginia “Jenny” Fleming, daughter, Meredith Fleming; sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Yommer, Cissy Fleming Haley, Catherine (Phil) Rowland, Bridget (Steve) Brannon and Gretchen (Rusty) Milspaugh; grandchildren, Will Fleming, Matt Fleming, Seth Kinnis and Hailie Blanton; and great grandchildren, Serenity Blanton, Dalton and Evan Thompson. Services to celebrate Mr. Fleming will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home with placement to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his son, William Maxey Fleming, Jr. and his brother, Thomas Fleming. He was a US Army veteran, having served in Viet Nam. He was a member of the Rutherford County Chapter 1089 of Vietnam Veterans of America.
