William Clyde Cox

He was the son of the late Robert Macon Cox and Gladys Estelle Wall Cox. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Martha R. Cox, and his daughter, Anita (Cox) Selph; and he was the last of nine siblings.

Mr. Cox is survived by his son and daughter in law, Richard and Sherri Cox of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Cox, Mark (Michelle) Cox, Lindsay Blankenbeker and Andrew Blankenbeker; great grandchildren, Oliver Cox, Ephram Cox, Avery Cox and Ainsley Cox.

A native of Atlanta, Mr. Cox was a graduate of Clarkston High School, where he enjoyed playing football. He retired from Sears and Roebuck Co. with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Galilean Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Mr. Cox loved his church and his church family dearly.

A private family graveside service will be held later at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA.
