Sidney Ellis Allen

We are sad to announce the passing of Sidney E. Allen, of Smyrna, Tennessee. He died at the age of 79, on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Sid passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends from an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Allen; son, R. Wayne Allen; father, William Bass Allen; and sister, Shirley A. Miller. He is survived by his mother, A. Agnes Fults of Smyrna, Tennessee; sister, Claudia Johnson Bobseine of Vero Beach, Florida; niece, Melissa A. Taylor of McMinnville, Tennessee; great nephew, C. Mitchell Taylor of Cookeville, Tennessee; and loyal fur baby, Abby.

Sidney served in the US Air Force, retired from The Carrier Corporation and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 572.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks for all the loving care during his illness at home. A special thanks to Shaleskia, Natosha, Dana and Tyson and the wonderful staff at Assisted Family Care, LLC.

A graveside service to celebrate Sid will be at 11:30am on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129.
