Robert Bryan Jones, age 79, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Jones was a triplet to the late Abner Orlando and Ara Louise Odgen Jones. Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia (Pat) Jones; two sons, Bryan Jones of Memphis, TN and Nick Bussey of Bartlett, TN; daughter, Sara Moncayo and her husband Eddie of Nolensville, TN; three granddaughters, Reagan Moncayo, Sofia Moncayo and Lily Bussey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family friends. Robert was preceded in death by his older brother, Warren Davis “Mike” Jones as well as his other triplet brothers, Ronald “Ronnie” Jones and Richard Jones.
Robert was a retired loan recovery officer for numerous institutions spanning over 50 years. He was also a reserved sheriff deputy for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department. Robert enjoyed woodworking, crafts, and drawing. He was known for his dad jokes and witty banter, but his most treasured role was husband, father, and Paw Paw.
Funeral services to remember Robert Jones will be at one o’clock, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Blackman United Methodist Church, 4380 Manson Pike, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129 with Rev. Doug Mater and Lory Catlett officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from eleven in the morning until one o’clock at Blackman United Methodist Church.
Burial will be at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 5350 Northwest Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129, immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be his nephew, Chuck Jones, great nephew, Billy Jones, Jeff Lamer, Frank Moncayo, Rob Bussey, and Joe Carlini.
