With great sadness, The Capps Family announces the passing of Rheba Elizabeth Capps on May 16, 2021. Rheba was born on November 27, 1967 in Texarkana, Texas. She is survived by her husband Alan Capps; son, Thomas Capps; daughter, Kayla Capps; mother, Martha McGibney; brothers, B.J. McGibney and his wife Lisa and Daniel McGibney and his wife Jenny; and several other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, William McGibney.
Rheba was a faithful member of World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where she was active in the renowned World Outreach Church Choir and ensembles. She also joyfully served in multiple ministries alongside her church body. Her love for the LORD and people was evident to all.
Rheba worked at the Tennessee Cattleman’s Association for the past 10 years as the office manager. She loved her job, her co-workers, and all those she came in contact with.
Rheba’s love for Jesus was evident, she loved singing praises to the LORD and her soprano voice could soothe and soar like no other. She volunteered with the youth at World Outreach Church and she as a sweet voice of encouragement to all she met and a joyful presence. She loved her family and friends completely and unconditionally. It was said that “When Rheba squeezed you, Jesus came out.
Services to celebrate Rheba will be Thursday morning at Ten Thirty at Roselawn Funeral Home with Tim Posch officiating. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Wednesday evening from Four O’clock until Eight O’clock also at Roselawn Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, we will “Live Stream” the service on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens- Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
