Morris Paul “Pete” Mire, age 86, of Smyrna, Tennessee, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Mire was born in Rayne, Louisiana to the late Edwin and Ella Broussard Mire. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hearne Mire; sons, David E. Mire, Phd and his wife Lisa Wall Mire, Phd and Richard Paul Mire, Tennessee Lead Geologist and his wife Barbara Foster Mire, MS degree; grandchildren, Sydney Anne Mire, Connor Lynn Mire, Dylan Paul Mire, Abby Erin Mire, Catherine Riley Mire and D.F. Hunter Copp; sister, Venola VanDeventer; brother, J.L.C. Mire and his wife Olga; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Mr. Mire was preceded in death by two sisters, Maudry Ramsey and Ethel Deslatte.
Service to celebrate Mr. Mire will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Friends are cordially invited to visitation one hour prior to the service.
