James Franklin Teague, age 73, of Lavergne, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Mr. Teague was the son of the late Sally Ida Smith. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborah Overbay Teague; daughter, Veronica Dixon and her husband Scott, her children, Seth Dixon and his wife Tonya, Erika Dixon, Christopher Dixon and his wife Jessica, Anthony Dixon and his wife Samantha and Miranda Dixon; daughter, Tonya Teague and her children, Casy May Hakala and wife Justine, Dennis Teague, Julie Reynolds and Frank Teague; son, Allen Teague and wife Melanie and his children, Annastatia and her husband Michael and James Teague; grandchildren, Lyra, Isabellah and Robert Dixon, Emma Dixon, Mateo Dixon, and Aston and Abel Dixon, and Beau and Christopher; best friend, Danny; and his fur babies, Dixie, Papi and Pete. Services to celebrate Mr. Teague will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home with visitation from Two O’clock until Four O’clock on Saturday afternoon, April 10, 2021, also at Roselawn Funeral Home. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Teague was a proud Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War and he was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was also a truck driver and loved to work on cars and trucks.
