Kris, I am very sorry to hear of your sad loss.

I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to reconnect with my Tennessee cousin recently after so many years apart.  Facebook brought us all together again and I enjoyed reading his posts about his travels and hobbies. I would have loved the opportunity to have gotten to know him better.   Condolences to Kris, cousin Nicole and Uncle Hiram.

Hiram, I miss you every day.  I pray day and night for you and for God to take away my hurt and sadness.  You left all of us too soon.  I have so many sweet memories of us growing up together, but there were so many memories yet to be made. You probably won't believe how much I miss you, but I do...even though we didn't talk every day or even every week...I still miss you...just knowing that you are not there...that when I call your phone, you are not there to answer.  

So many other people miss you, too. Of course, Kristen misses you, but there are so many other lives you have touched:  teachers, people who went to schools with you, people who went to church with you, people who went on mission trips with you...  Your bosses and co-workers miss you and have told us that you are irreplaceable; you were such a committed, dedicated, knowledgeable employee, who was always helping others.  Clients miss you.  Your kitties miss you at home...especially Coal, who waits for you by the door every day so he can leap up into your arms and curl himself around your neck.  Your MommaKat.org cat rescue and adoption volunteers miss you.  All those feral cats you fed several times a week miss you.  And, your Dr. Who Fan Club members miss their dedicated president.

I pray that I will get to see you one day in Heaven.  Until then...

I had previously worked with Hiram and he had invited me to be part of the local Doctor Who club in Birmingham, Alabama back in 2011. We had attended a few Doctor Who conventions as well. He will sorely be missed at the Doctor Who club meetings and hanging out with him at various Doctor Who conventions.

My heart breaks losing a cousin that I spent many years growing up with as we are just six weeks apart. I was his date to the Webb School dance when we were younger,  I remember us having such a blast with him!! Over the years, we shared many memories together!! I remember hearing the story about me writing on the walls at home when i was about 3 and my Mom would be telling his Mom about it and Aunt Carolyn would tell my Mom that Hiram didn't do that thank goodness, to only find out later when they were moving to discover he HAD been doing it too!!, He was just smarter/slicker than I was, he did it on the wall behind the curtains!!! LOL My heart breaks knowing that my family is suffering such a great loss at such an early age!! However, I do take comfort in knowing he is in Heaven with our Savior and dancing with his Mom and Grandparents!! Lots of love and prayers are being sent out!!

I am so sorry for your loss, Kris, and for Hiram's family's loss. I spent very little time with  Hiram but liked him very much--his gentle kindness and helpful intelligence about all things technical are gifts that will live in our memories. I know he loved his ferile cats--a light has gone out of the world, and I am sorry.

I was a volunteer with Hiram with Momakat Rescue also. He was always very nice to me. Momakat Rescue was at the cat show this past weekend and even though Hiram was not there in body we all felt his spirit. His loss is felt all of us. I am so sorry for your loss. Gail Chapman

Hiram W. Lester Jr. was the greatest friend any person could have.  He had many talents but for anyone who knew him well on the technical side no one could hold a candle to Hiram.  He was a good Christian, a loyal son, a good brother and a faithful friend from the time I met him to today.  Hiram I will see you on the heavenly shore one day brother. I was a volunteer with Hiram with Momakat Rescue.  He was an incredibly nice man and his loss will be felt by us all.  Our Sundays at Petco will never be the same without him, and I hope you know how much he was loved.  I am so sorry for your loss.

I went on mission trips with Hiram and worshiped with him at the Christian Student Center when we were at MTSU together.  I lost touch with him after college. I know he is in Heaven and I look forward to singing and praising the Lord with him again!!  Many blessing to his family.  I know he will be very missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort his family and friends. My six year old daughter and I only had the opportunity to meet him a few times at the Doctor Who fan club and she cried when she heard he passed. He was always kind, smiling and made everyone feel welcome.

Hiram and I went to high school together. He was a great friend and loved by all. My heart goes out to his family as he will be deeply missed.

i will miss hiram. i did not see him much after riverdale, but he will always be my friend. you were a clever and cool guy and we held down bus 66 for a couple of years. thinking of you always!

Hiram was a great friend. We shared a passion in British Science Fiction and he would get so excited about the ideas and creativity, that everyone else around him caught that same excitement. He was a wonderful president of our club, and more importantly, a great and gracious friend and family man!

I had the pleasure of working with Hiram at Regions Bank. He was a very talented and hardworking man. He brought laughter and light into the lives of people around him. Hiram was very proud of his family, his career, and the time he spent volunteering. He was generous, caring, and helpful to everyone around him. Hiram has touched many lives and we are all better for it. He will live on in the memories of his family and friends. My prayers go out to his family. He is missed by many people. Rest in peace Hiram!

Hiram was a good man. He worked at Kroger back in the late 80s and I met him at work there. I remember him as one who loved to tinker with electronics. I had bought a large TV antenna for the house and Hiram, Bill McKnew and myself put it up. Hiram was the cable guru who ran the wire from the antenna to the TV. It was 1988.

Hiram was such a great person.  I worked with him at Compass.  We worked together during long hours and weekends but we always laughed and cut up with each other.  He was very intelligent and had a huge heart.  He will be very missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends for his early departure but I have a feeling he is looking down on us with his Mom.  Miss you Hiram! Rest in Peace.
