Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend Gerri Alexis Brown, 50, was born on July 8, 1971 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and passed away November 5, 2021 in Houston, Texas. Gerri was a graduate of the illustrious Tennessee State University where she received her nursing degree in 2008.
Gerri was always full of energy & light, an affectionate and caring person who never met a stranger (her words). She had a passion for and liked all things nursing from the studies to the bedside. Her interest in science carried over into movies with her fascination with sci-fi, fantasy, and psychological thriller themed films and tv shows. She was an avid learner, enjoyed playing word games, and loved to talk. One thing Gerri will be missed and was well known for was her cooking.
She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Nathaniel and Greta Brown, maternal grandparents Jerome Hawkins and Mandy Smith, mother Geraldine H.
