Fred Henderson Powers, Jr., age 73, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday evening, April 10, 2025, at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Fred was the son of the late Fred Henderson Powers, Sr. and the late Barbara Haynes Bass. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John David Powers. He is survived by special friends, Gwen and Phillip Booth.
Service to celebrate Fred will be at Three O’clock the afternoon of Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Roselawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from Two o’clock until the service begins at Three O’clock.
Mr. Powers was a graduate of Smyrna High School and Middle Tennessee State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from the US Postal Service.
