Dorris Wayne Lannom

Dorris Wayne Lannom age 87, native of Smyrna, Tennessee passed from this life to his heavenly home July 17, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Joshua Thomas and Ruby Elkins Lannom, Brothers James Allen and John Thomas Lannom, Sister Dorothy Jean Hargrove. He is survived by the loves of his life wife Martha Lannom, son Glenn (Tracey) Lannom, grandchildren Reagan Delaney Lannom and Jackson Connor Lannom.

Wayne was a graduate of Smyrna High School and also served in the Tennessee National Guard. He retired from Tennessee Farmers Co-op as a Fertilizer Plant Coordinator, where he worked for 32 years. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with the Boy Scouts of America as an adult leader. He was an elder of the Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Reverends Jonathon Watson and Joyce Merritt officiating. Placement of his ashes will be in the Glass Front Niche’s in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation also on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from One O’clock till the Celebration begins at Two O’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shirley Dianne Waldron, Linda Yake, Steve Lannom, Paul Lannom, Andy Winford and Marvin Hargrove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or Alive Hospice.
