David Wayne Walker, age 57, of Christiana, passed away Friday morning, July 12, 2019 following one of his favorite past times, fishing on one of the area lakes. David was the son of Dolly Walker and the late Charlie Walker. He was also preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Walker, who passed away in 2018. David is survived by his wife, Jeannie Walker of Christiana; daughter and son in law, Amanda and Jake McBryar of Christiana; granddaughter, Iversyn June McBryar of Christiana; mother, Dolly Walker of Columbia, KY; sister, Gail Walker of Columbia, KY; brother and sister in law, Mike and Doris Walker of Columbia, KY; and many other loving family members. Services to celebrate David will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, beside his son.
David was a southern Baptist and worked for many years as a millwright for Millwright Local Union #1554 in Nashville, Tennessee. Among his many hobbies and passions was fishing, being the best chess player anyone knows, religiously following NASCAR, watching any sporting event he could find on television, traveling, eating hamburgers at “Busters” and being a Rock'n Roll junky.
