David Allen Moon

Born February 27, 1947 in Davenport, Iowa to Ace and Barbara Moon, David will be dearly missed by his cherished wife of 36 years this December, Dr. Teresa M. Moon; and his four children and their spouses, David Moon, Jr. and his wife Jenne, Cassie (Moon) Quinn and her husband Eric, Wendell Moon and his wife Mary, and Devin Moon and his wife Molly. One of David’s favorites in life was being a grandpa to Logan Quinn, Jordan Quinn, Theodore Moon, Hugo Moon, and Phoenix Moon who will carry his love and legacy in their hearts.

David’s outgoing personality helped him succeed as a salesman and small business owner. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his children and grandchildren. David loved gardening, and his thriving rose bushes are a beautiful testament and memorial to his attention and care.

A man of faith with big ideas, David leaves a legacy for his ardent belief that teenagers can change the world. Full of love for his family, a heart for beauty, and a firm belief in the potential of those around him, David blessed us with 75 lively and treasured years.

A gathering of family and friends will be the afternoon of Monday, October 3, 2022 from Four O'clock till Six O'clock at Roselawn Funeral Home, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129, 615-893-2742 and a Celebration of Life will be experienced at Two O'clock on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Village Church, 7224 Old Burkitt Road, Antioch, Tennessee 37013.
