I only met him a couple of times but I could tell he was a good hearted guy and loved his family and friends.  I know he will be missed. 

Condolences  to the family of one of my best battle buddy's.
I first met SPC Davis when he showed up at drill. I introduced myself and asked what his MOS was he said 94A.  I smiled and said you will be with me from now on no matter what. I took him under my wing and showed him everything I knew about radios. I found him to be a kind hearted and friendly guy.
During my time in the guard I ran in to hard Times and he was always there to help me out even from overseas. He helped me with a job to make ends meet and when I had car problems he lent me a truck that he later sold to me when I got the money together. He was my battle buddy and someone I could always count on. I will miss the big lug.

Cole's life was driven by 2 things. Family and duty to his country. To my grandson he was "uncle coco when he was little. His best buddy at playing video games. Loved him best of all. I was honored when he let me take photo before he went away for extended guard duty. In his camo. A hug goodbye. To say I was so proud and loved him. A thing all mothers do for a son. Any son. Proud and blessed for knowing you Cole. Till I see you again.

I got to meet SPC Davis for Poland rotation 1. He was a great soldier, and nice all around individual. My heart goes out to his daughter and family during this difficult time.  

First and foremost, sincere condolences to SPC Davis' family and loved ones.  News of his passing came as a complete shock.  I had a good working relationship with him because he was one of the go-to guys in his unit concerning radio equipment.  He was a great help many times over.  We often shared a laugh, caught up a little bit on how life is going, and just shot the breeze in general.  He'll definitely be missed.

Cole was one in a million and I am forever thankful for our friendship... I am going to miss him terribly... I am praying for y’all and I am here in anyway I can be

I met you in the air port when I was 21, though I wasn’t there to meet you,  you where part of the package and life I was walking into.  You could light up a room with your smile and soft voice, your hugs never failed to make me feel smaller then I am, and your last name and mine are the same and we always had a joke about possibly being related even though I was very much adopted. I love you and will miss you. You brought so much love and joy into this world I wish you didn’t leave us so soon. Wish I’d gotten to talk to you. My favorite times with you where those times we all chills smoked and talked family dinners and the few holidays we all had together. I wish I had photos but sadly they have all been lost thru the years.  Rest In Peace Mr. Davis (I hear you saying HI ms. Davis in that funny way you would. To Ghee his twin brother know you are loved and not alone, to one of the women Connie who has a hand in raising him, you did the best you could please don’t blame yourself, to His brother via another mom Bo, I know this is going to hit you hard, cole was your partner in crime your brother your beat friend, your not alone, you are loved and  not alone, you guys lean on one another try not to be hard on yourselves non of you could of predicted this. To his daughter, your daddy loved you, you where his entire world, a light in the darkness there was absolutely noting in this world he would of done for you,never question that love  it will be hard but we all believe in you and your loved so very much loved. 
I miss you Cole, thanks for the amzeing friendship you gave me and the love and open mind.
