Butch, age 44, went home to be with God on Monday, January 23, 2017 Butch was born in Eden, North Carolina. He has always been a true blue tar heel. He leaves behind his parents Bert Scott Jr. and Patsy Scott ; sister Brigitte Scott Corley(Chris); two special nephews Christian and Chase Corley; niece Ashley ; Mamaw Edna Blankenship ; several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of dear friends. Services to celebrate Butch’s life will be at noon on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by grandparents; Bertrum R.Scott, Sr and Mary Scott of Kansas and Leonard Blankenship of Virginia. Butch graduated from Oakland High School and Johnson Bible College, and received a master’s degree from Webster College. He was a youth minister and a counselor .He touched everyone he came in contact with. He was always there for everyone to help in any way he could. He loved life and was an example of living each day to the fullest. He loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. Ask anyone about Butch and you will hear he was a best friend. He loved and served God and has now gone to be with Him. We will miss him as was truly one of a kind. He will forever be with us all in our hearts.
