Barbara "BJ" Hogun

Barbara Hogun "BJ", of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Cordelia Henson, her husband, Rev. James E. Hogun; her son, Michael E. Hogun; and grandson, Michael B. Cantrell. She is survived by her daughter, Cathie and Thomas Cantrell-Manners; son, Chris and Anita Rutledge and family; daughter, Lupe and Auggie Nunez and family; grandchildren, Stephanie, Claudia, Jason and Alex; great grandchildren, Nicole, Kaleigh, Giovanni, Sasha, MacKenzie, Jayden, and James; numerous foster children, nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters and various other family members.

BJ was minister's wife for 60 years and worked in various areas of ministry. She was a bible scholar, bible teacher of all ages, singer and musician. BJ's most cherished past time was reading her bible and having debates with her huband James. They together fostered several children in Northern California. BJ and her daughter Cathie loved making quilts, arranging flowers for all occasions and was in charge of decorating for parties, banquets, churches, businesses, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Four O'clock the afternoon of Friday, March 31, 2023 at Turning Point Church, 1033 Barfield Church Road, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37128.
