Wanda had previously worked in the Dietary department for Woodlands Nursing Home in Muncie. She enjoyed watching the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. Wanda loved the beach and would often winter in Florida. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her children, Gary Kendall, Susie (Ron) Penix, Debbie Miller, Vickie Coffman, and Mistie (Doug) Marshall; son-in-law, Scott Gates; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, expected in January; and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Smith; daughter, Veronica Gates; daughter-in-law, Leigh-Anne Kendall; son-in-law, Rick Coffman; grandson, Frank Miller Jr.; and beloved dog, Buddy.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, IN 47304, with Rev. Dr. Rusty Clements officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Elm Ridge Memorial Park, at a later date.
