Teresa L. Webb

She was born Monday, October 3, 1955, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Jack and Mary Lou (Ward) Smith. Teresa grew up in Muncie; she attended Selma and Wapahani High School and graduated from Ball State University with two degrees. Her family was a special part of her life and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Teresa was actively involved with the Wildfire Ministries, Urban Indian League of Indianapolis, and Eitlejorg Museum where she was a story teller. She was involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Clubs, and Onekama Church of the Brethren. Teresa was an art teacher, a Foster Parent to many children, and was known as a sister and Aunty to many in the Native American Community. In her spare time Teresa enjoyed doing art work and playing the flute.

Survivors include her husband, Larry D. Webb; five children, Charles "Tony" A. (wife Christy) Webb, Laresa "Reesie" (boyfriend Mike Smekens) Webb, Mary T. Webb, Andredion D. Webb, and Hosanna Webb; six grandchildren, Anthony D. Webb, Breannah D. Webb, Caleb Webb, Kaiden Webb, Kenny Hammond, Jr., and Aundrea Webb; two brothers, Jeff and Michael Smith; close friend and caretaker, Michael Sturgis; beloved service dog, Nana; and many foster children.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
