Tammy Lynn Stockton, 51, of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born in Muncie on Friday, September 5, 1969, the daughter of Lawrence Edward “Eddie” Thomas and Mary Easter (Slaven) Waters. Tammy attended Cowan Schools.
Tammy was a devoted Christian and homemaker, and loving mother to Katie and Samantha. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Easter. She was a perfectionist that had a green thumb and loved gardening and flowers. She enjoyed sunbathing and the outdoors, and loved fashion. Tammy’s favorite movie was Grease, she loved all genres of music, the song Strawberry Wine, and the color purple. She was a CNA in nursing homes and loved elderly people and babies. She also worked for a time at Cowan Elementary School.
Tammy is survived by the love of her life, Stacy Stockton; her daughters, Katie Marie and Samantha Nicole Stockton; mother, Mary Waters; sisters, Patricia Johnson (daughter, Siara King and grandson, Tristan Payton) and Donna Thomas (children, Andrew and Justin); and brother, Matthew Waters (children, Noah and Maddie).
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Edward “Eddie” Thomas.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, North Chapel of Mausoleum, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
Family and friends are welcome to go to Tomlinson Cemetery for the burial.
