Sofia P. Williams

Sofia Williams, 81, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at her home. She was born Friday, September 27, 1940, in Mexicali ejido Nayarit, B.C., Mexico to the late Pedro Preciado and Josefina Gutierrez. Sofia married the love of her life, Charles Harry Williams, and they shared many years together. She was very patient and was known for being a wonderful caregiver, especially to her husband Charles. She was a hard and dedicated worker. She was graceful and elegant. Sofia always encouraged others to do well and to get an education. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. Sofia was a long-time member of True Light Baptist Church. Sofia never had children of her own but had a great love for animals, along with baseball and music. Her favorite artists being Lola Beltrán, Juan Gabriel, Chayito Valdez,Vicente Fernández, and Antonio Aguilar. Survivors include her step-son, Tommy Williams; two step-daughters, Cynthia Williams, and Vicki Williams; siblings, Pedro Preciado Gutierrez, Francisca Preciado Gutierrez, Luis Preciado Gutierrez, Jorge Preciado Gutierrez, Enrique Preciado Gutierrez, Juan Preciado Gutierrez, Rosario Preciado Gutierrez; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Joshua Williams, and Matthew Williams; great-grandchildren, Kylie Williams, Duke Williams, Phoenix Williams, Destiny Ray, Mathias Williams, Maxwell Williams, and Isabella Williams. Her parents, Pedro Preciado and Josefina Gutierrez; her husband, Charles Harry Williams; step-daughter, Melanie Williams; and siblings, Natividad Preciado Gutierrez, Pablo Preciado Gutierrez, Melitón Preciado Gutierrez, and Francisco Preciado Gutierrez preceded her in death.
