Paula Sallee

Paula Sue Sallee, 66, of Parker City, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on the morning of April 12th, 2025. Paula was born on June 30th, 1958 in Raceland, Kentucky to Earl and Kathleen Akers. She was a Muncie resident for over 50 years.

She worked in the healthcare industry as a certified EMT and she served as a CNA at several local nursing homes including Sylvester’s Nursing Home, Westminster Village, Willowbend, Elm Croft, The Woodlands, Lynd Place and Morrison Woods. But her favorite job was being a stay at home Mom to her two daughters.

Paula was a wonderful daughter, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She loved her kids and her pets. She loved keeping her house clean and her sinks dry (Don’t forget to dry out the sink!). You couldn’t leave her house unless your middle name was careful and you always had to let her know you got home safe. She loved animals and casino games. Her favorite pastime was going to the dollar store.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kathleen and Earl Akers and her beloved fur baby Shelby. She is survived by her two daughters (Her favorite) Suzanne (Nick) Petro and Ashley Sallee; her husband of 37 years, Steven Sallee; her three grandchildren Brice Petro (Her Baby Boo), Eden Duncan and Leela Duncan; one sister Patricia Waudby; one brother Charles (Cathy) Akers; her favorite niece Ruby King, and several other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Paula’s name to A.R.F. in Muncie as this organization was near and dear to her heart.
