Paul Duane Critton, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Muncie, Indiana, on December 7, 2024. He was born in Portland, Indiana on November 7, 1950 to Robert and RomaNi (Pursifull) Critton. On January 4, 1973, Paul married Debra Beedle in San Diego, California, and she survives.
Paul joined the United States Navy in 1970 and served in Vietnam, before being honorably discharged after 4 years of service. Whilst in the military, he met Debra and they spent 51 loving years together.
Paul worked as a machine operator for the Ball Corporation, until he retired in May of 2016. He was known as a workaholic who never gave up, even when he was sick. Paul was a jack-of-all trades; he loved to woodwork, garden, and was an overall handyman. Paul collected many things including Ball Jars and even Hot Wheel cars. He was a loving man who made sure his family was always taken care of.
Paul is survived by his wife Debra; children, Dawnya Critton, Melissa (Corey) Hartley, Derek (Heather) Critton; grandchildren, Dylan Critton, Jayla Spence, Cohen Hartley, Miles Hartley, Laken-Mae Hartley, Hayden Critton, and Kynslee Spence; brothers, Kenn (Jacque) Critton, Rex (Jennifer) Critton, and Lester (Kelly) Critton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda.
A public visitation will be held from 12 pm to 2 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 6490 W Cornbread Rd, Yorktown, IN 47396. A private service will be held.
