Michael L. Amos

Michael L. Amos, 68, passed suddenly on April 3rd, 2025. He was born to Tira and Lloyd (Jack) Amos, on March 30th, 1957. Michael graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1975. He served in the United States Army from 1975-1978.

Michael worked for the Delaware County Highway Department since August of 1987. Mike loved to golf and ride his Harley Davidson, he loved watching sports especially the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team, Colts Football and IU Basketball. He especially loved spending his time at Mulligans/Crestview Golf Course.

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Patsy Amos; children Jennifer Amos and Jeremy Amos (Hollie); grandchildren, Sierra Stigall, Kerrigan Amos (Doug Sorrell), Seleste Musick, Gavin Musick, Alec Upchurch, and Kailee Amos (Devin Bookout); great grandsons, Urban Hesser and Greyson Williams; mother, Tira Amos; brother, William (Bill) Amos (Paula Amos); special golfing buddies, Chuck Crabtree, Jeff Lindley, and Terry Winningham; along with many cousins and friends who have become family over the years.

There will be military honors promptly at 4 pm on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, IN 47304. A visitation will follow military honors until 7 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home. The family requests that everyone dress in casual attire.
