Maurice "Eugene" Smith

He was born June 27, 1956, the son of Willie and Mearline Smith. Eugene retired from Ball State University where he worked as a production engineer. He loved being outdoors, fishing, camping, or even just working around his house. More than anything, Eugene loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ronda Smith; daughter, Nicole (Jermaine) Smith-Butler; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Ladell; his fur child, Dakota “Laska” Smith; children in love, Jennifer and Kaleb; a host of grandkids; siblings, Sarah (Ervin) Philips, Willie (Lucille) Smith Jr, David Smith Sr, Betty Lapsley, George Edward Smith, and Innette Smith; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
