Mary Easter Waters

Mary Easter Thomas Waters, 73, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 5, 1949, the daughter of Ed and Neva Slaven. She graduated from Muncie Central High School. Mary retired from Jefferson Smurfit after twenty-one years. Survivors include her children, Patricia Johnson, Donna Thomas, and Matthew Waters; siblings, Robert Slaven and Glenda Silvey; grandchildren, Andrew Thomas, Justin Thomas, Siara King, Katie Stockton, Samantha Stockton, Noah Waters, and Maddie Waters; great-grandchildren, Tristan King, Julianna Thomas, and Mary Ann Waters; special friends, Sue Smith, Beckey Beaty, Kathy Rooney, Julia Serfert, Pam Lambert, Bob Lambert, and Vickey Vaught. Mary would like to thank you all for your love and support throughout her life. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Lawrence Thomas; daughter, Tammy Stockton; siblings, Clarence Slaven, James Slaven, and Charles Slaven. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery.
