Lois E. Reed

She was born Monday, November 27, 1939, in Smithtown, Kentucky, the daughter of Lincoln and Mildred (Childers) Waters. Eskie was the totally dedicated homemaker. She raised her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and even neighbor kids. She loved gardening, canning, and cooking. Eskie enjoyed shopping and rummage sales with her sisters. Her memberships include the Bethel United Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Tammy (husband, Joe) Trego, and Tim (wife, Robin) Reed; sisters, Gerald Morrison, and Donna (husband, Gene) Sonnenberg; grandchildren, A.J. (wife, Trish) Barber, Courtney (Daulton) Barber, Sam (fiancé, Brooke) Trego, Martina Trego, Josh (Whitney) Spicer, and Jared Davis; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Skyy, Julia, Delaney, Mason, Myles, Joshie, and Cillian, caregivers, Morgan Foudray, and Laiken Foudray; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln and Mildred Waters; her husband, Samuel Reed, who she married on August 2, 1963; son, Steven Reed; daughter, Tina Barber; brothers, Will Waters, and Sam Waters; sisters, Imogene Dawson, Mae Hannon, Carol Griffis, Shirley Cooper, and Lou Tapley.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304, with Pastor Dale Trego officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
