Joan was cherished and loved by her family and many friends who knew her. She was born Wednesday, October 1, 1930, in Muncie the daughter of the late Alfred and Evelyn (Minch) Ammon. Joan was an avid bowler and gardener. She was a lover of nature and animals.
Survivors include her two daughters, Becky (husband, Col. Richard M. USMC ret.) Barry and Lisa Kemp; two sister-in-laws, Reta Garrett and Blanche Higginbotham; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Glen Bilbrey; her parents; sister, Marcella; and brothers, Tom, Bob, Don, and Gene.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
