Janet was born on August 1, 1930, the daughter of Glenn and Myra Minnick. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1949. She retired from Borg Warner after twenty-six years, prior to that she worked for Ohio State Life for seventeen years. Janet led a simple and joy-filled life, finding happiness in the little things. Her passion for cross-stitching brought beauty and warmth to her surroundings. She had quite a collection of clown figurines. Also a Red Skelton fan, she found laughter and joy in his performances.
Janet was a dedicated fan of Thomas’ band, always supporting his endeavors. Though Thomas has passed, those memories remained etched in her heart.
Janet is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in passing by her parents; a son, Thomas Hammond; two brothers, Donald and Glenn Minnick; and a sister, Donna Pittenger.
