He was born on August 25, 1947, the son of Walter and Pauline Starr.
Douglas is survived by his son, Nathan Starr; two grandchildren, Colby Starr and Ashlyn Starr; and several nieces and nephews.
Douglas is preceded in death by the love of his life, Joyce Starr; his parents; and his daughter, Sarah Barnes.
A funeral service will be Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park
