Dorthy B. Richman

Dorthy was born on Thursday, April 29, 1943, the daughter of Vena and James Robertson. She married Garry D. Richman on September 5, 1981, in Jamestown, Tennessee, and they shared thirty-nine years together.

Dorthy retired from Ball State University as a custodian. Dorthy loved and spent many hours playing Yahtzee with grandchildren when they came for a visit. She was well known for her love of making jewelry and her world-famous Chicken and Noodles. Dorthy and Garry enjoyed traveling to visit family. They traveled from one end of the United States to the other. She will be deeply missed.

Dorthy is survived by her son, Brian Beaty; step-children, Gary Dean (Crystal) Richman, Donita (Dicky) Moore, and Randall (Bonita) Richman; brother-in-law Robert (Joyce) Richman; grandchildren, Angel (Seth) Crowell-Black, Chelsea (Andrew) Wentworth, Tanner (Melissa) Richman, Tyler (Jena) Richman, Kylie Richman, Michael Rodimon, Jonathan Rodimon, Lindsay (Ralph) Cincush, Austin Moore, Miranda (Lee) Barfoot, Joshua Richman, Britteny Richman; great-grandchildren, Piper Cincush, Jonathan Hamilton, Caiden Richman, Logan Richman, Madison Ann Richman, Luke Wentworth, Annaleigh Wentworth and Landon Wentworth; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry Richman; parents; a son, Russell Beaty.

Services will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Chapel, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
