Dale A. Dyer

He was born on Monday, May 20, 1957, in Muncie, Indiana.

Dale had worked for the Muncie Community Schools as the grounds supervisor for twenty years and prior to that, he had worked for Centennial Packaging for Twenty-one years, having served as the plant manager.

He was the owner and operator of Scrappys. Dale enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, playing horseshoes, going to concerts, but most of all, spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Heather Dyer and Julie (Jeff) Williams; son, Mark (Amy) Christal; brothers, Doug Ogle, (companion Dana Shell), and Steve (Sherri) Ogle; sisters, Vanessa (Fred) Pormen, Rhea (James) Zachary, and Kelli Pajari; uncle, Randy (Rann) Dyer; grandchildren, PFC Exuse Brown, Da'Jahauna "Daisy" Dyer, Ezekiel Brown, Adeline Williams, and Mylie Williams; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Mona Joan (Dyer) Petty; daughter, Ginny Lynn Dyer; brother, Keith M. Dyer; grandparents, Willard J. and Elizabeth M. Dyer; uncle, James W. Dyer; aunt, Donna J. (Dyer) Trumbo.

Services will be held Friday, August 17, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304 with Pastor James McCowan officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
