Billy Arnold Huston Sr., 86, Anderson, passed away Saturday morning, April 13, 2024, at Northview Health and Living following an extended illness.
He was born Monday, November 8, 1937, in Anderson, the son of William S. and Wanita K. (Haskett) Huston. Billy worked at Huston Transmission for thirty years. He then worked for Muncie Parks Department where he retired after twenty-two years. Billy earned an award for his innovative work to save the department money. He was known for his quirky ways of making life easier. Billy loved to travel and never met a stranger. He had a vast knowledge of history and loved to joke around and he never said “good bye”.
Survivors include his son, Billy (wife, Selina) Huston Jr., brother, Tom (wife, Brenda) Huston; four grandchildren, Chris (wife, Megan) Huston, Victoria Davis (husband, Jose) Padron, Tera (husband, Mario) Ramirez, and Kayla (husband, Alex) Marquze; great-grandchildren, Logan, Maddy, Alexis, Kayden, Evan, Isabella, Alina, Elizabeth, William, and Evelyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Wanita Huston; his first wife, Anna Huston; second wife, Ruby Huston; brothers, Gene (wife, Peggy) Huston, and Ronnie Huston; sister, Editha Nesbith, and one son, Dana Huston.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
