Obituary of Beverly Swartz
Beverly Swartz, 71, gained her wings on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born Friday, July 13, 1951, the daughter of Vivian (Thomas) Millsaps. Beverly married the love of her life, March 2, 1978 and they remained inseparable for forty-four years. Family was everything to her, she enjoyed making her children and grandchildren smile and was always there to lend a hand. Bev and Randy, shared many special fur children, including their eight year old mini pin, Shantel. Beverly loved hosting family gatherings, and everyone was always welcome. She took pride in her well maintained yard, always enjoying when people would comment on her landscaping. Beverly and Randy shared a love of classic cars, and enjoyed spending summers showing their cars at local area car shows. Survivors include her husband, Randall “Randy” Swartz Sr; children, Stacy Holbrook, Randy (Jennifer) Swartz Jr, Tony Swartz and Kimberly (Wayne) Swartz; grandchildren, Trenton (Zoe) Foster, Randy Ray (Nikki) Swartz, Sabrina Swartz, Maverick Holbrook, Mark Smotherman, Maddie Holbrook, and Remington Mahon; great-grandchildren, Sef and Payton Foster; sisters, Sharon (Don) Swartz and Brenda Ellis; beloved nephew, Rock Swartz; long time friend and neighbor, whom she referred as her sister, Naomi (Bill) Kirby, and daughter Amber. She is greeted in Heaven by her mother; sister, Caroline Nevins; son-in-law, Mark Holbrook; mother and father-in-law; sister and brother-in-law, Tom and Kay Hughes; and many other family members. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa, Lynne, and Jasmine at Southern Care Hospice for their outstanding care, love and dedication to our wife and mother. Donations may be made in her honor to Southern Care Hospice. Beverly was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
