Betty Lou Wall

Betty was born October 24, 1927, in Muncie, Indiana. She was the eldest daughter of Margaret Audrey Drumm and Hanway Drumm. She was raised in Muncie with 8 siblings and attended Muncie Central High School.

She married the love of her life, Dale Wall, on January 1, 1945. The United States Air Force took them to Walla Walla, WA; Biloxi, MS; and San Antonio, TX, before returning to Muncie. From there, they moved to Three Oaks, MI, and then to Richmond, IN, with Fred First Ford.

Betty enjoyed painting and had several of her artworks displayed throughout her home. She also enjoyed gardening, both vegetables and flowers. She loved being outdoors. In the summer, it wasn’t uncommon to find her on her John Deere mowing. She loved the compliments she often received on her beautiful flowers and landscaping.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, her husband Dale Wall, her daughter Kathy Herreid, and her grandson William Dykeman. She is survived by her loving children, Carol Dykeman of Beaufort, SC, Connie Allen of Houston, TX, Tom Wall of Richmond, IN, and John Wall of Indianapolis, IN, as well as her sister Nancy Funkhouser of Richmond, IN, her grandchildren, and other close relatives.

A private burial will be held at Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie, IN.
