Ashtynn Elizabeth Shook went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She is the oldest of Jeff and Lisa Shook’s three miracles. Born Thursday, July 14, 2005, Ashtynn and her twin sister, Chloe, came into this world small but mighty. Determined to thrive, Ashtynn grew in love and kindness. Family and friends will remember Ashtynn for her contagious laughter, beautiful smile, warmth, friendliness, boldness, and mother-hen ways. Ashtynn loved Jesus fiercely and we know that she is wrapped in his arms now. We cannot wait to hold her again someday.
Ashtynn was a Junior at Monroe Central High School and a server at The Chocolate Moose in Farmland. She loved her school as well as her job and work family. Ashtynn also loved spending time with her family, listening to country music, being with friends and watching movies. Ashtynn was always the first to offer help to anyone in need, a true caregiver at heart. In the summer, you could always find her poolside or in a boat. While she enjoyed getting her nails done, dressing up, and shopping with her mom, she was also the ultimate daddy’s girl and you could often find her doing yardwork with her dad. Ashtynn’s youngest sister, Maddie has described her as the best big sister she could imagine and cherishes the close bond they had. Chloe will hold on to her twin connection with Ashtynn forever.
Ashtynn is survived by her parents, Jeff and Lisa Shook; sisters, Chloe and Maddison Shook, Jennifer (Danielle) and Crystal (Keith) Prescott; grandparents, Robert and Sharon Aparicio, Roderic and Barbara Hinshaw; uncles, Keith and Jesse Aparicio; cousins, Alayna (Ethan) Myers, Isaiah and Lareina Aparicio; two nieces; special friend, Landon as well as many other friends and loved ones.
