He was born Tuesday, June 14, 1955, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Albert and Jane (Collins) Burnett.
Tony was a man of many hobbies. They include Civil War re-enactments, Cowboy re-enactments; he had his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying, riding his Harley, and playing, and listening to music and singing. Tony attended Castle Heights Military Academy and graduated from Muncie Southside High School and Ball State University. He was director of the eye and tissue bank for Methodist Hospital and the Northern Indiana Donor Services. Mr. Burnett honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Burnett, and they were married October 1, 1973; son, Mark (wife, Ashley) Burnett; daughter, Jennifer (husband, Jacob) Wood; grandchildren, Alexander Burnett, Adeline Burnett, Annabelle Wood, Ryker Wood, Freyja Wood, Adler Wood, and Vada Wood; sister, Kris Wright; several nieces; several nephews; and his little buddy canine companion, Harley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jane Burnett; and a sister, Judy Burnett.
It was Tony’s wish to be cremated. Private burial with Military Rites conducted by Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard will be at a later date in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
