Anna L. Konkle Petree, age 88, of Jellico, Tennessee passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born on November 22, 1934, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to the late parents Ed and Lena Slaven. She was currently the wife of Arlie Petree and they were married March 13, 2012.
Anna was a loving mother and grandmother, survived by her husband, Arlie Petree, children, Danny Taylor and Sheri Konkle; grandchildren, Daniel (Tania) and Bethany Taylor, and Shea Konkle; three great grandchildren, Raiden, Mileena and Mia; her brother and sisters, Scotty Slaven, Betty Kirk, Tress Staley, Carrie Mobley and Alta Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Konkle; sister, Ruth Shook and brother, Robert Slaven.
Anna was a beautiful person both inside and out with family being her life. She was a very strong woman with her own ideas and opinions, which were usually right. She married John Konkle becoming a homemaker taking care of her precious family. They were married for forty-five years. Anna attended Sound the Alarm in Muncie, Indiana and Riverside Church of God in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She loved going to church, shopping, dining out, and sewing. Her family and friends will always remember her for her kind and loving nature. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
