Wanda was born in Moffett, Oklahoma and grew up in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In 1962, she and her family moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, and in 1971, moved to Moss Bluff, Louisiana making Moss Bluff their home.
Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. Wanda had been struggling with cardiovascular disease at the time of her death.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lindberg Anderson, daughter, Vicky Louise Denham, son, James Garland Anderson, Sr., and grandson, Jeffery Phillip Anderson, parents, Buel and Ruby Cowen, her brother, James Cowen, sisters, Shirley Herdison, Velma Gage and Brenda Orr.
Wanda was the last surviving sibling.
Wanda is survived by her son, Charles Edward “Eddy” Anderson and his wife, Melissa Anderson from Moss Bluff, son, William Franklin “Bill” Anderson and his wife, Jennifer Anderson of Moss Bluff, daughter, Linda Joyce “LJ” Anderson of Lake Charles, daughter, Diana Michelle Phillips and her husband, Allen Phillips of Sulphur and son, William John “Bubba” Anderson of Moss Bluff. Wanda is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and resume Friday from 9:00am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Ernie Burnthorn will officiate. Burial will follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery.
