Mildred Elizabeth "Mickey" Henry, age 83, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Mildred was affectionately known as "Mickey" to all of her friends, "Maw Maw" and "Nana" to her grandchildren, and "Mick-Mick" to the many children she cared for over the years.
Mickey was a longtime member of Moss Bluff Bible Church where she served in the nursery and AWANA ministry. She loved to attend all her children and grandchildren's activities, football, gymnastics, dance, and volleyball. She was their biggest and loudest cheerleader in the stands! Mickey was always up for an adventure, loved to go out to eat, especially Mexican food. Mickey was a great example of what it takes to be a Christian mother and Prayer Warrior; she showed her family how to put God first.
Mickey was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Paul Barham "Manny" Henry, her parents, Ernest Nathaniel and Verda Lee Liles Busby, sister-in-law, Theda Busby.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Paul R Henry and his wife, Anne; daughter, Ceylon Williams and her husband, Jeremy; grandchildren, Jordan Seago (Krista), Haley Henry, Andrew Henry (Tera), Austin Henry, David Williams, Sophia Williams, and Amelia Williams; great-grandchildren, Lilly Brady, Bella Seago, Maci Seago, Stevie Seago, Aiden Stanley, and Everly Stanley; brothers, Bennie Busby (Rosalie) and Ralph Busby; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Moss Bluff Bible Church and will resume at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Her funeral service will begin at Noon on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Moss Bluff Bible Church with Rev. Jeremy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lyles Cemetery in Reeves under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
